Now that Release #65 is live, the Manage Settings page can be used to enter the unique code for Google's Webmaster tools. It works for all account levels, but only for personal accounts. Therefore, the Using print_custom_head() tutorial should be modified to say that communities must still go this route, but personal accounts don't.

In view of the new Share This feature, these tutorials need to be fixed, otherwise Share This will not work ( Read more... )

[paidaccount] [all] Adding a Navigation Strip still links to "Edit Personal Information" (editinfo.bml) page, which hasn't existed in some time. I've edited the post to point to the correct page.

[paid accounts only] [Tranquility II] Adding usericons in the Recent Entries view has been hidden, because 1) the code is badly out of date, B) the code has a major typographical error, and iii) the layout has a toggle option for showing icons on Recent Page now, so the whole tutorial is obsolete.

Inspired by this, I visited a couple of Tranquility II communities, which didn't contain a tutorial for this, so I made one. I'm a bit rusty, so please test this to see if I made a mistake somewhere.

Item 6 of the guide to customview doesn't explain you need to check a tickybox and hit View! (the link next to the tickybox uses the groupname, not the number). See http://www.livejournal.com/support/see_request.bml?id=861822 for more info.

Similar to the entry before, the old version of the tutorial would mess up the dates. This addresses this correction/suggestion (though I still need to check which other layouts may be affected).

I just discovered something fairly misleading that stems from the implementation of the Reversing entry order tutorials. That is that some themes (Classic in particular, though I'm fairly certain this applies to most others as well), when displaying a RecentPage of many entries, will only print the date with the first entry in each day.
